Private Pilot

A Private Pilot certificate is your first step into the world of Aviation. As a Private Pilot you will be able to pilot an aircraft for pleasure, day or night, with or without friends!

Many people choose to become private pilots to enjoy easy weekend getaways, to unwind with a relaxing flight after work, to go sightseeing, or just to experience the sheer pleasure of flight. Obtaining your Private Pilot certificate is straightforward and is a lot of fun.

Flying is an acquired skill, similar to sailing a boat. Like all such endeavors, practice makes perfect. When you take-off for the first time as pilot in command with your newly earned license you will experience a sense of accomplishment that is hard to beat.

Instrument Rating

Once you have obtained your Private Pilot’s license, the next step in flying is being able to fly by sole reference to the flight instruments. This “add-on” certificate will allow flight through Instrument Meteorological Conditions that create limited visibility and reference to the ground and/or the natural horizon by the pilot out of the aircraft.

With the instrument rating course you will undergo training that simulates your inability to see outside the cockpit and will cause you to rely solely on the airplanes flight instruments for safe flight.

For many people instrument flying is a challenge at first, but once overcome, removes many limitations that visual flying can present such as clouds and fog.

Commercial Pilot

After your Private Pilot and Instrument certificates you can begin training for your commercial pilot certificate. As a Private Pilot, and Private Pilot with Instrument rating you are unable to fly for hire, or simply put “you can’t be paid to fly.”

A Commercial Pilot certificate allows you to fly for hire and is the first step of becoming a professional or career pilot. You will gain additional flight proficiency and gain income while doing something you enjoy.

This step is required for anyone seeking a career as a pilot whether it be for passengers or cargo.

Certified Flight Instructor

Our certified flight instructor program is a comprehensive training course designed to prepare individuals to become qualified aviation educators. The program typically covers a wide range of topics including advanced aerodynamics, teaching techniques, regulations and procedures, and emergency response protocols.

Students in the program will spend time both in the classroom and in the cockpit, honing their skills as both pilots and teachers. This certification allows them to teach aspiring pilots how to safely operate aircraft, effectively communicate complex concepts, and instill professionalism and discipline in their students.

A certified flight instructor program is essential for those looking to pursue a career in aviation education and make a meaningful impact on the next generation of pilots.

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument

A Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating (CFII) allows experienced pilots to train and endorse students for their instrument rating. In order to become a CFII, pilots must first hold a commercial pilot certificate along with an instrument rating themselves.

CFII candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge of instrument flying procedures, systems, and regulations through both written exams and practical flight tests. This certification authorizes instructors to provide high-quality training in instrument flying techniques, cockpit resource management, and navigating through various weather conditions using solely instruments rather than visual cues.

CFII’s play a crucial role in helping aspiring pilots develop the skills necessary to safely operate aircraft in challenging weather conditions, providing invaluable expertise and guidance throughout the training process.
